2021 UBA Essay Competition for Secondary School Student

2021 UBA Essay Competition for Secondary School Student: This National Essay Competition which has been organize by the United Bank for Africa Foundation, is for all Secondary School Students will are willing. This Students will be awarded Scholarship which will enable them to study in any African Universities.

The UBA Foundation has finally announced the opening of entries for the 2021 edition of the National Essay Competition which is an annual event. This Annual Essay competition is done with the sole aim of promoting creative and analytical thinking.

The UBA Essay Competition which is also held in Ghana and Senegal is made to follow the Foundation’s Read Africa initiative, it will promote and improve the reading culture of all students and will be done through the reading and free distribution of Africa literary classics in Secondary Schools.

Criteria for selecting Candidates

  • Candidates must be a Secondary School student
  • Candidates must be willing study in any Africa University
  • Candidates must submit essay

Number of Scholarships: 3

Prize:

1st Prize:

N1 million educational grant to study in any African university of his/her choice

2nd Prize:

N750,000 educational grants

3rd Prize:

The sum N500,000 educational grants

NOTE: All essay entries sent and received by the board will be reviewed by panel of judges that is made up of professsors from recognized universities around the country.

This distinguished judges will shortlist 12 best essays for further assessment, from which the 3 best essays will be selected as the winners. The eligible country is Nigeria.

Applicant should submit the following details:

  • Full Names
  • The Address of school telephone number,
  • Your residential addresses
  • Your email addresses

Applicants should attach the photocopies of their original birth certificates or international passport data page.
