The problem of more than 14,200 Exited npower volunteers started when GIFMIS rejected some volunteers of the Npower programme for reasons of being in other government payroll, a claim yet to be defined

As at the end of March, 2020, a handful of Npower volunteers failed to be credited their stipends when other where being paid.

Alerm and online protest where made, but to no avail, the matter lingers till July, and the amount accumulated to five (5) months unpaid stipends

The of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, addressed the matter and concluded on proper verification and screening of the affected volunteers through Focal Point Officers in all the 36 States and FCT

The Minister admitted to be less involved in stipends payment as the Office of the Accountant General of the Federation (OAGF) is now responsible for stipends payment

Affected volunteers were promised to be paid before the year 2020 runs to an end, but it is certain that, volunteers may not be paid as the month of December is ending in day’s time

No Information From OAGF & Humanitarian Ministry

There have been no information from boththe Ministry ofHumanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, headed by Umar Sadiya Umar and the Office of the Accountant General of the Federation (OAGF) regarding the 5 months owed stipends

No one is coming out to officially update affected volunteers of the month’s backlogs, volunteer’s flount social media to air their view, but all their cries falls on deaf hears, as the matter is not giving the attention it deserves

Words not coming from authorities concerned with the issues at hand, give affected reaons to worry, as their plight are not well attended to

Verification and Bank Statement Submitted

As ordered bythe Minister ofHumanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Umar Sadiya Umar through the Office of the Accountant General of the Federation (OAGF), affected volunteers have already verify their details and submit their bank statement, yet their stipends are not paid them

All other requirements needed to process their five months owed stipends have been done by all affected volunteers but no action taken to pay them, no confirmation of their documents recieved

Federal Allocation for preovious Month Shared

The Federal Government has received her share of the Federal Allocation for October, yet the promised to pay volunteers has not been fulfilled

The office of the Accountant General of the Federation (OAGF) confirmed receiving October Allocation, but no instruction given to GIFMIS to pay all the 14,200 volunteers of their hard earned stipends- a move that dashed the hope of volunteers

Cabinet Shake-up (Executive) and Changes in OAGF May Occur in 2021

With the situation of things happening at the helm of affairs in the country, there may be cabinet shake up and even changes in the office of the Accountant General of the Federation (OAGF)

If these happen, and involved perosanlities are removed or shifted, then hope will be dashed completely regarding paying the five months stipends

Volunteers of Some Government Programmes Have not Been Paid for Months
