Absorption of Volunteers into MDAs: See MDAs with Vacancies: The Npower volunteers had been promised Jobs in Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) by the Federal Government through the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development

In their last press release, the ministry told exited beneficiaries to exercise more patience as plans are underway to transit all volunteers in to MDAs

The Statement reads: “The Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development has commenced the transitioning of volunteers of Batch A and B into government entrepreneurship schemes and engaging private sector bodies to absorb some of the volunteers after the completion of psychometric assessment to determine competency and placement into various opportunities.

“The N Power Programme Managers and the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, in a bid to ensure that Batch A and B Beneficiaries are exited into self-reliant programmes is engaging relevant MDAs (CBN, BOA and BOI) to explore opportunities to support those intending to go into Entrepreneurship”

During the last Presidential Performance Ministerial Review Retreat for all Federal Ministers, the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Sadiya Umar Farouq was asked the number of available vacancies at Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs), she gave a brief insight of the numbers to test run the first batch of volunteers of volunteers into MDAS and private sectors

Let’s see some of the Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) that are vacant and might need volunteers

Parastatal/Agency is government owned company/corporation/ businesses. Such NLNG, AMCON, NNPC, DPR, NIMASA, etc

Parastatal/Agency make their own money, in fact, they remit money to the Nigerian government.

Ministries are government bodies/organizations that monitor/regulate sectors of the country.

Hence, they are not money-making organization. Therefore, salaries are meager in comparison to parastatals.

Furthermore, parastatals are owned/under ministries, such as, AMCON, NSE are under ministry of finance. Same as, NNPC, DPR, PTDF are all under ministry of petroleum.

In this article, we will be looking at vacancies in these MDAs, some of these MDAs are short staff and may need helping hand, though the government is merging them lately

DPR, AMCON, EFCC, SON, NIMASA, DMO, Public Complaint commission,  FIRS, PPPRA, ITF, SEC,NSE, NNPC, FAAN, SSS, Ministry Of Justice,  ICRC, NPA, FMBN, BOI, CBN, NSITF, PENCON,
