NALDA 2021: 30,000 Graduates To Get Agriculture Extension Jobs-Apply: NALDA has opened its portal for application for interested and qualified candidates, regarding the FG’s Agriculture Extension Service Jobs
Dailytrust stated that all the shortlisted graduates will be trained intensively for two weeks in soil sample collection and soil testing.
“What this soil doctors will be doing is they will go to every farmland, meet farmers in their farms to conduct soil test first before any farming season in order to know what nutrient that the soil requires and what type of fertilizer the crop will need, with that we will begin to engage in the best agricultural practices”
“Nigerian agricultural sector has suffered over the years due to the absence of extension workers.”
This training will involve collecting soil samples, conducting soil samples, that will be of service to the farmers under the National Young Farmers Scheme launched by President Muhammadu Buhari and implemented by the agency.
