The NSIP bill is an executive Bill that seeks to provide a statutory and institutional framework to permanent the program.

A bill to permanent the National Social Investment Program (NSIP), has scaled third reading in the Senate

The chairman of the Senate’s committee on special duties presented his committee’s findings after several weeks of Engagement with relevant government agencies.

The bill gets the nod of the Senate as other lawmakers agree that it will lay a solid foundation for poverty alleviation in Nigeria.

As we all know, the National Social Investment Program (NSIP) consists of the Npower Program, National Home-grown Food Program, Geep Loan, Conditional Cash program (RRR), NASSCO, etc,

The committee and report stage is currently ongoing and when this it is done, the president will give ascent to the bill to become law,
