Breaking: FG To Recruit 30,960 Community Security Officers-DailyTrust: The Buhari led government has approved plans to take over 30,000 graduates as community security officers
This is coming at a time, when the security situation in the country has detorioterioted and people are taking the laws in their own very hands
As part of the drive to implement the policy of the Community Safety and Human Security Programme (CSHSP) in Nigeria, the Community Security Officers will oversee policing at the local level, thus finding a lasting solution to the lingering security situation in the country
George Akume, Formal Senator, Benue North, and Present Minister of Special Duties and Inter-Government Affairs, made this known on a 17-man committee on the Community Safety and Human Security Programme (CSHSP)
According to dailytrust, George Akume “This is to expand the narratives and intelligence towards community safety, first at the local level which in most instances act as a springboard for all major violence and conflicts that escalate to national acrimony.”
“Akume, who chairs the committee, said the programme was also designed to generate over 30, 000 jobs for the youths and create skilled manpower for over 50,000 women across Nigeria”
