FG Approves Fund for Training of 500,000 Youth on Digital Skills: The Federal Government has swung into action to empower the youths in the wave of the #endsars protests, the government has given the approval of training 500,000 youths in Information Communication Technology (ICT)
Youth and Sport Minister, Dare Sunday, made this known in an inaugural meeting organized by the Nigerian Bottling Company (NBC) youth summit.
It could be recalled, the Digital skills acquisition, Entrepreneurship, Employability and Leadership (DEEL) was introduced in November 2019 to empower Nigeria Youth in Digital Skills and ICT related Fields
The programme will run for 52 weeks, Dare added

“The Economic Sustainability Plan (ESP) has taken into cognizance the DEEL initiative, and I am glad to announce that we have gotten approval for the funding of a 12-month programme under the initiative that will see 500,000 of our youth’s up-skilled in different digital skills,”
