Umar Sadiya Farouq: Most Insulted Minister in Nigeria’s History

Umar Sadiya Farouq: Most Insulted and Criticized Minister in Nigeria’s History: The Insults meted on Alison Madueka Diezeni, Fami Fani Kayode, Dora Akunyeli, Ibrahim Maku, and the host of others are child play compared to the ones dished out to the first and current Minister of the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development (MHADMSD), Sadiya Farouq

Described as a controversial minister,Sadiya Umar Farouq has a different leadership attributes not seen in recent time

She always make the news before, during and the After the Covid-19 pandemic, her role as the Humanitarian Minister during the pandemic spike criticism in the way Federal Government Palliative are distributed among states

At a point, she was described as ” the Pharaoh of Nigeria”, meaning, being heartless and igoring the plight of others

The Npower volunteers have lashed her with destructive criticism, not suitable to a Federal Minister. She used over N500 Million to Feed school children during lock-down, an outrage that spike public condemnation

Mismanagement, Corruption, and maladministration engulfed her ministry, and her refusal to accept House of Reps invitation to explain upsurge in her ministry compounded the suitation

As the manager of the Npower Government Scheme, she has constantly delayed volunteers’ stipends, exiting volunteers at will, unchallenged, even with the Massive Protests against her

Apparently, a handful of Npower volunteers are yet to collect their Five months stipends, yet no news of relief is coming from Sadiya umar

Volunteers have blamed the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Umar sadiya, being the head of the ministry

The Battered minister had promised to pay volunteers their outstanding stipends, her words are yet to yield fruit as volunteers now see her as a “lying machine”, not to be trusted

According to WIKIPEDIA,” her total incompetence and ineptitude in the Npower programme can be proven in several ways.

  • Exiting Volunteers at the Middle of the Covid-19 Pandemic
  • Constant Delays In Stipends Payment to npower Volunteers
  • Huge Misappropriation and mismanagement of Funds
  • Giving Slots to Law makers in Batch C intake

As at 6th of August 2020, Sadiya Umar is yet to pay the beneficiaries’ stipends of the month of March to July 2020 when the world is witnessing a full blown Pandemic of the Corona Virus outbreak”- An outrage accountable leaders and governments would have queried.
